Transmission trouble shooting

Asked by GuruW32ZH Jun 02, 2018 at 12:20 AM about the 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GT Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am swapping an engine and transmission from a
2000 Pontiac grand prix into a 1997 grand prix
model everything fit the same but the transmission
harnesses are different .what should I do.?

Use the correct wiring harness and computer. You can't swap engines around like it is 1962, there are computers involved!
