Transmission trouble shooting

I am swapping an engine and transmission from a
2000 Pontiac grand prix into a 1997 grand prix
model everything fit the same but the transmission
harnesses are different .what should I do.?

Use the correct wiring harness and computer. You can't swap engines around like it is 1962, there are computers involved!

  • my 2005 Grand Prix only clicks when trying to start it..the battery is good...put new starter on and that is not the answer...it clicks and just wont start...we have tried trouble shooting and still 10 Answers

    The gears are all off. The 1st and 2nd manual gears wont do anything, the 3rd, drive, and NEUTRAL gears provide slow acceleration, Reverse acts like a second park, and the RPM's wont go over 3100.
