I have a 90 grand prix with the full gauge cluster, all gauges appear to be working but yet the low fuel and check gauges lights remain on. Anyone have any ideas?

my pontiac grand prix 2001 check engine light came on. i checked the codes and the coils came up. i tried testing the coils myself with a small vacuum hose a a light tester to see if i was getting the right amount of spark and all of a sudden my car turns on but shuts off immediately after its been turned over. what could be my problem? please help 1 Answer
