04 grand am gt replaced the camshaft position sensor and check engine light is
still on for same code? i also have the service vehicle soon, ABS light, and
traction control light is on as well? im not sure what to do and need answers.

I did with a scanner but it came back. A buddy told me told disconnect the battery to reset the computer..?

I disconnected the battery for a few hrs and when I turned on the second time it came back on.??

Until you fix the problem the codes will keep showing up.

I didn't pass emission's because of this. The code read it was the camshaft sensor.

I have a 99 pontiac grand am se 3.4L V6. The issue is that it starts and idles fine but as soon as I go to accelerate it just shuts off. It did have overheating issues but right after I fixed those it started doing this. I replaced the cam position sensor and also the engine coolant temp sensor and it didnt help. I was thinking of replacing the ignition coil packs and housi g but not sure if that would fix it. There are no check engine lights or stored codes . 4 Answers
