Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My parents have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE two door. The drivers window will not go
down. Recently the service vehicle soon come on. Then the fan won't work and none of
the windows go down. After a few minutes they start to work again. Any ideas??

It sounds like a shorted wire somewhere. also, have the computer code checked out. autozone or someone like them will read it for free. this could go a long way in helping you find the problem.

I was hoping it was a fuse or something easy. I did take it is o them. The "check engine" light has codes. The "service vehicle soon" doesn't. Thanks for the advice.
