What should I do if the antifreeze reservoir is full of water?

Asked by CaseyDanine Nov 12, 2013 at 02:53 PM about the 1997 Pontiac Grand Am 2 Dr SE Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Coolant light is on in a car that was just purchased and I think the reason is that there is water instead of antifreeze.

Flush it out and replace it with antifreeze. It is very important that you do this as soon as possible or your lines will freeze during these winter months.
