Could be any number of things (hole in the floor, hole in the trunk floor and the water's traveling, etc...), but my first guess is a plugged drain tube if the car has a sunroof.

If no sunroof then vynel top I had leek in roof cut top off and replaced metal had lots of rust under top real commen for cars

i have water comming on the back seat passenger side of my 1999 lincoln town car

Clean the drain flap on the passanger side of the fresh air intake by heater core. It is ar the bottom of the housing about the size of a quarter. Likely leaves have blocked it. Now how the water gets ot the back seat is a mystery, but it does.
