The Jeep death wobble about 50 miles an
hour on the highway

There are several articles online about the death wobble. The causes can be just about anything loose or worn in the front suspension. Worn tires and alignment also are factors.

My Jeep had the death wobble whenever I hit the smallest bump or pothole and replacing the steering while stabilizer (if that's the correct name of the part) completely fixed the problem. Cheap fix while repair shops wanted $1100 to replace whole front end suspension.

Different solution: went through everything - track bar, stabilizer bar, tie rods, shocks, pit arm...and some certainly were worn and needed replacing. But, the real problem on my 2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo having the death wobble? The wrong size tires! So easy to check and just spaced on doing that first. Kept replacing all the aforementioned parts, kept going into the shop (noting they didn't find it either, 2 different shops). The tires were too small, they were also fairly narrow. Hope this helps someone. Problem was solved instantly and never had the death wobble since.

I discovered that using cheap brake rotors was the main cause, as such would warp, as Chrysler always designs brakes that are too small for their vehicles. Replace the steering shock, and use premium rotors, and you will be fine...
