Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 95 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 and it
turns over but wont start, ive had to jump it
twice, once before i replaced my 6 month
old battery and once after with a week old
battery and my tachometer and
speedometer tweak when im driving, so ive
replaced my distributor, cap, rotor, starter,
ignition coil, crank sensor, faily new fuel
pump, and faily new alternator, i tested the
map sensor and it came out working
properly, i get spark all the way through and
out the spark plug wires, its gettin fuel and
air, but itll just turn over and wont start, im
confused and stumped, idk whats goin on,
any info would help, thank you in advance

I guess depending on the millage it is possible that it jumped time. Bring #1 cylinder up to TDC on the compression stroke. Then take the distributor cap off and see where the rotor is pointing, it should be pointing to #1 spark plug wire tower. Also what could be wrong would be that the distributor gear pin has sheered. After looking where the rotor is pointing on first test, take a hold of the rotor and see if you can turn it. If you can then the pin needs replacing for the distributor gear.
