I want to rebuild my 1999 GMC Sierra to be like
new.

*ahem* When you say "like new", do you mean pristine, showroom restoration or do you mean rebuild the engine, transmission, etc? If you're looking to totally restore it, I would advise you to change your mind. You'll spend so much money on it that the truck will NEVER be worth what you'll have in it. It is also extremely time consuming and for a truck there's a million of out there I just don't see why you would. Now, if it's sentimental to you I get it. But know this: You're going to need, no exaggeration, tens of thousands of dollars to do what you are proposing and it will take approximately a year at a minimum to get it all buttoned up and on the road. Now, if you want to rebuild the engine or transmission back to new, that is a different story. You're looking at a couple thousand to do one or the other and it may be worth it.
