It does not run all the time, the system does not leak. I want to turn the feature off which releases the air when placed in park.

It is operating as designed, I would leave it alone. Trying to lower an air ride vehicle that is NOT designed to do that is not a good idea.

This seems like a pretty simple question. I am not trying to lower the vehicle. I am trying to prevent it from going up and down 40 times when i am doing errands. It seems pointless for the system to release air when the vehicle is shut off or placed in park when i am going to get back in the car in two minutes and turn it on and have the pump run for another 4 minutes to put it back to where it was before the system released the air.

Bob is right. I would not mess with the system unless you want problems.

Is there or is there not a way to turn it off? I do not want advice on whether or not i should do it. I want to know if it is possible.

Not sure if you can turn it off other than disconnect it or remove a fuse. If it is continually adjusting after being parked then there is a leak that needs repair.

I assure you that it is not a leak. You can visibly see and audibly hear the air being released when the last door shuts. If you open a door, the systems stops releasing. I don't want to stop the whole system. I want to to stop pointlessly releasing air every time i shut the car off.

You could rewire the system to a manual switch if you can find someone willing to take on this project. If you forget to turn it off you may end up with a dead battery.

There is a switch to turn off the system, my 06 has a small access door in the back luggage area on driver's side. Ford recommends turning the switch off when jacking up the vehicle, which is stated in the owner's manual. In the off position the vehicle will always be in the lowered position, which will affect handling and may affect steering and braking. I am converting mine to coil over shocks to eliminate the pointless lowering and raising of the vehicle.

The Expedition kneeling function is very annoying for the reasons @Guru6K3TR explained. On my 2005 that switch in the back that that turns the systems off immediately stops all airbag activity including pumping up and releasing air to kneel the vehicle. I'm wondering if I can stop the kneeling function by moving the switch power from "always on" to the ignition instead. I think I will try to simulate this by having someone flip the switch to off at the same time I turn the vehicle off.
