2004 Ford Expedition turns over but wont stay running

I read about "fuel pump relay" issues and replaced entire fuse box, fuel filter, all
8 coils/plugs and it ran good for 2 days. This morning I could get it started but
it was sputtering and as I had to keep the RPM's up to keep it running and saw
white smoke from exhaust as I was revving it up. could it be vacuum hose
issue. I am gonna go to auto zone and rent the fuel pressure test device.
