Ford Expedition high temp low oil

Asked by King Apr 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM about the 2003 Ford Expedition XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently had the motor replaced and i just got the vehicle
back two days ago. While driving yesterday my steering
wheel got almost impossible to move. Then i noticed the
“high temp low oil” and the temperature gauge was all the
way up on high. About 5 mins with the temperature gauge
on H i was barely able to accelerate. Then it would
eventually cut off. I proceeded to get oil hoping it would
fix the issue but it hasn’t. I let it sit over night with the new
oil in but it’s still doing everything from the steering wheel
to the cutting off. PLEASE HELP.

was this motor new or just a replacement ? either way it does not sound good , it should have been shut down at the first sign of trouble but you kept driving it

see what kind of warranty you got from the installation , a compression test should be done to see exactly what needs to be done , it might not be that bad
