Lift gate window will NOT lock?

The window opens with the button OK but when you close it, it does no lock. It locks just like your doors do, when you close it, it latches and locks automatically. It must be a mechanical misalignment. Remove the upholstery from the lift gate and check the mechanism when you try to close it. You should be able to see and figure out what the problem is.
