Ford Excursion

Asked by J'Quan Feb 09, 2017 at 07:23 AM about the 2004 Ford Excursion XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 ford excursion and when I came out
to start it up this morning it took a few tries before it
cranked up and after it started all of my interior
lights keep staying on. The dashboard reads that a
door is opened but I've checked all my doors and
they're all shut completely...looking for some insight
to fix this issue. Thanks!

Sometimes when your alternator goes below its output Volts/Amps you could possibly have issues as you are describing. I would have the system load tested...

Spray some WD-40 inside door latch contact and pull on door handle ten times or so and door each door open and close one at a time and you'll find which one the contact spring is stitching! At worst to keep battery drain if that doesn't fix it I think it's 5 mini amp fuse to pull
