Low Oil pressure light on and taping in the engine

I was driving my 2005 Chevy Silverado then
stop at the red light i was idling then low oil
light came on and the engine was taping
then when  i accelerate the oil low pressure
goes off but at idling it comes on. I change
the oil pump its still taping and the low oil
pressure bell and light is still coming on and
my questions is the issue?  And how do i fix
the issues?

You would want to verify the oil pressure at an idle, and revving it up, with a mechanical gauge plugged into the oil sending unit port. If there is low oil pressure, that is generated by the lower end main and rod bearings. May have worn crankshaft bearings.

how many miles? try running a thicker oil, if that works then you deff know you need a oil pump. if you have high miles then you pretty much need a oil pump. do not drive until it is fixed or you will ruin, if you didnt already the motor.

There is a filter under the oil pressure sensor 7 bucks pain in the butt to change
