Door lock isn't locking/unlocking

I took the door panel off of my door and it
stop unlocking/locking.  It's a ford  tempo
1994 lx. I was in the process of changing
the door actuator. Sometimes when I hold
down on the door actuator I can hear the
lock moving

really- is a '94 Tempo worth all that? I feel like I've wasted time just writing this-

Jamnblues it's actually a nice one. It's practically brand besides being old and Tom I will tomorrow thanks
