Why does my 2004 Silverado reset the computer when ignition is turned off?

Every time ignition is turned off the ECM/PCM resets and it does not retain the
diagnostic codes. What is going on here?

The keep alive memory circuit is dead. First check all the fuses, if you find any blown ones then replace them. If all the fuses check good then it time for a professional to look at it. You may have some damaged wiring.
