I want to know why my charge time doesn't work?

Asked by damnn Mar 24, 2023 at 06:05 PM about the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have my time set for 9:00 p.m. to start charging the battery. But most of the
time I have to unplug the cable and then plug it back on and then it starts
charging ....no idea why it doesn't at the appointed time. Does the car have to
be locked for it to start charging on time

It's a new car and under warranty. If you can't understand the owners manual, take it to a dealer and have him explain it. Instruction is part of what you paid for the car. It might be as simple as your clock is just not properly set.

You hit the nail on the head Ed, most people won’t even look at the owners manual let alone read it. I educated both husband and wife neighbors on both of the new cars they bought. He caught on quick and found answers but she took considerable time getting to know things.
