OBD. Relieve a lot of guesswork and get the codes scanned at any large parts house. bring the codes (P000) back here and one of us will be happy to help you decide what to do next (they do it free)

If it happens over night you probably have a sticky check valve in the fuel pump. Very common on Chrysler products. Try this turn the key on (without starting) for 5 seconds, then turn it off. Repeat two more times then try to start. Since it's irregular, try this after your first attempted start with a no start. If it works you need to just run some good gas cleaner through the tank 2 or 3 times. It will clean up the varnish.

By the way what happens is all the fuel in the fuel lined drains back into the tank because the check valve is stuck open.

I know this is a super old thread...but I recently bought an 07 wrangler with 55k miles. It eoukf sometimes take 8 tries to get thr engine to turn over. I had the neutral safety switch replaced...expensive 500 dollars....it didnt help one bit. Did a little research...I added another ground wire right from the battery around firewall and attached it to the alternator bracket. Haven't had a no start since. 15 dollar fix. Might as well try it!!
