Hi my name is Alana Storm, i bought a 1986 Chevy Corvette convertible, the
put a hard tap on it wish it can be removed, i want to restore it to the original
look, but i don't know what this particular vett looked like like....how do I
know...i try to get a rag convertible tap but it doesn't fit...who can I talk to

You want to replace the hard top with a rag top? If your car does not have the folding top frame you will need the frame and top. I would go to a good automobile upholstery shop. http://www.corvettecentral.com/c4/tops.php
look up any corvette club on line the will be able to tell you anything you want to know..
wow- not sure I understand the question- you got the car and now you are going to put a substantial amount of money into it- sigh- I really hope you didn't pay much for this car because a C4 really isn't worth much- if you want to put the top down it may be more economical to just do what the old sports cars did- just get a tonneau cover put on it, customized, baby

The C4 corvettes dad a factory removable hardtop option. The soft top should still be stored in its recess. Have someone look at it to be certain.
