Rear Bumper

25

Asked by csmscotta Jan 23, 2008 at 02:12 PM about the 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

Question type: General

I ordered it in the Summer of 73.  The rear was rounded with no seam vertically in the Corvette name on back.  All I see now is the 1974 with rounded rear and the seam; and the pictures of the 72 with the rear like the 72.

Did I have a 1974 or 73 without that seam and the rounded bumper...

Thank you

Scott

The 73 was the last year with a chrome bumper, which was on the back. It also had the first year of rubber bumper on the front. The 74 was the first year with rubber front and back, the seam was done on the back due to the factory could not finish it all in one piece like the 75's and newer.
