Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 1968 corvette. The person I bought it from said that he had the power steering rebuilt, but it is
leaking. The problem I have is it pulls to the left when I'm sitting still and rev engine  I let go of the steering wheel
and it starts turning to the left. I could understand when I'm moving. I never experience anything like that. .. My
question is if I bought a new steering pump would that be the answer?

No, something in the gearbox was not installed properly.

Check the centering adjustment on your steering box, the past owner may have adjusted it to make the box steer easier. This is the little nut with the adjustible bolt in the middle, on the top of the steering box. I have found, in the past that this can cause the steering to move, when the car is not moving.
