Corvette seat back has excessive play

My 2006 Corvette Coupe seems to have excessive seat-back play--like maybe 6 inches. Both the driver and passenger seat-backs are affected. This doesn't seem right to me. Is this normal for a C-6 Vette or is a repair indicated?

Time for a repair. Either something came apart or broke.
