Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can't find any evidence that these cars have a break in oil change
requirement.

Anybody know what what gives?

Old vintage engines might have followed that procedure, but the last decade or more NO, call The Porsche dealer ask them, Don't trust most people? some? none? anyone? people make outrageous claims about oil and "brands" your only 3 clicks away from Youtube, and a Porsche snake oil story. If your really into this read about laboratory testing and analysis. Regards

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll call the dealer. Probably some glitch in the computer.

Its not based only on mileage, also time since the last change. It will mention the time and mileage intervals between oil changes in your user manual. I always change my Porsche's oil every 5k miles or 12 months, depending which comes first.
