What years chevy trucks had poor milage , tranny problems etc. ?

2008 was about it. It seems like Chevy went downhill from there.

From about the early 2000s forward on the full sized models you started seeing the typical GM electrical problems, check engine light problems, accessories that stopped working, etc. They're also plagued with camshaft failures and transmission problems. My Sister had a 2007 Silverado and the transmission failed with just over 100,000 miles on it. She had already been having the repetitive check engine light problems until she finally got rid of it in 2019! Hope that helps! Jim
