but if you buy the 2 liter... and turbo that.... you're in for some wicked power.

The 1.8 turbo becuase you can change the boost and the 2.0 you would have to do more mods.

35

yeah!! cool but remember that out there most of the people thinks that 2.0 is better than 1.8T ;) cya guys

1.8t... as long as you got in the right gear at the right time. lol ~Earnie~

15

better how? and why not boost the 2.0L prob solved. sure you'd need a few more mods but when you put your foot down you'll know where your money went

5,155

yea on all of the road behind you cause you will have to fix every time you spool haha both are garbage engine in my opinion but out of both the 1.8t is better

15

i'll agree both are trash lol but but i dont see why the 2.0 cant handle it. sure its always easier to build up an already turbo car, but ive boosted my rsx no problem, granted my all mighty 2.0 K20 makes the 1.8t and 2.0 vw look ike their standing still

5,155

thats why right there its a acura . haha honda makes awesome engine and vw doesnt thats just it plan and simple. the only good german cars are porshe and bmw.

15

amen to that bro. so now the question is, where do u fall between porsche and bmw?

15

As for the original question, all VW's are the cute toys of the car world, they all follow in the trend of the beetle... simply hysterical. vw's latest effort to stay in the race (r32) is soon set to be discontinued yet again. Only to be soon replaced with a new "GTI-R." for any true VW fans, that is soon to be the only model worth dropping a dime on. sure you could argue some vw's are worth it with some time and money, but for less time and a lot less money you could run a stripped civic del sol at 30psi on a track day and make all the ze VW fans cry

5

but they say it's lous so if you are buying a Komfort car from VW go with the FSI. But I want a EOS to show off with...

i guess we get all the blow by with it cause 30psi on a stock honda bottom end wont hold up very long im not a vw guy but i know plenty of them that will piss on a honda any day

15

Parts for del sols are cheaper than most. my drag car is a del sol, and on a track day runs 30 psi, low 10's high 9's no problem i can drive it normally at anything from 6 to 20 no problem. my time attack car is an rsx turbo also running anywhere from 6-20psi no prob (also my daily driver)...aaaand surprise surprise theyre both honda engines! its always. find me these miracle vw's ur talking about that piss on hondas. then while ur at it find me a few that that piss on the nsx. of all cars to build up vw should be at the bottom of the list. btw isnt it a bit obvious that i didnt boost 30 on a stock engine

well actually its not a given that you were smart enough to swap the bottom end cause from my experience honda drivers dont think things thru. also if you want to go with partner companys with fast cars im sure lamborghini or even bugatti will show up the nsx cause the nsx is over priced and under powered

15

lol well im glad to not be one of the idiot honda drivers. and come on ur going to compare a lambo and a bugatti to the nsx. why even waste time comparing them. its like saying which is faster a rock or jet plane. the nsx is over priced but it has thh power to put vw to shame. but def cant argue with u on that they could have done better. no doubt. u could argue the nsx is a honda, its not an acura in japan

5,155

your just ignorant those cars are electrical fire death traps lol way over priced for being just a car. the nsx would probably keep up with them on a track though especially the nsx-r

yeah your right there chief im ignorant i know nothing about cars i just read magazines and forums and act like i know shit about cars

If youre talkin about The mk4 model years, than the 1.8t was a much quicker engine. It's really depending on what youre lookin to do. The 2.0 engines, before the new turbo-charged version on the mk5, are better off being supercharged. Less hassle and a few companies have some really easy bolt on applications for superschargers on the 2.0 n/a.
