Flywheel is busted all the way around where it bolts to the engine.

Or all the teeth on the fly wheel are missing in one spot.

insufficient amperage...because the main ground connection what goes from the battery to the chassis is not solid and corrosion free---unbolt the main ground and wirebrush to allow the needed 300 amp connection....also the connection to the motor (near the alternator)....yes...the fatty 1/0 cable~

The starter is not spinning when it hits the fly wheel,

I thought you meant the starter was spinning. I agree with judge roy and make sure your battery is not dropping out under a load.

if this was a manual would push start the vehicle...would know it's a bum starter or in need of wirebrush to the ground connections~...I keep comin' back and quittin' think magical powers from a woman named Lisa are at work...the judge is a sucker for a pleasant woman~
