wont start ,but has spark and fuel 62k miles 1996 ran perfect before

I switched heater hoses to try to improve heat a bit and left it to run and when I came back out it was not running and would not start, has spark and fuel

will it start if you open the throttle 100%? do you have a performance chip? if you do, take it out, and im not saying this is the most likely scenario, but is it in park position all the way? its hard to do but ive started my truck with it in reverse one time because my shift indicator was messed up
