I am trying to find a motor for my durango 4x4  and have found a dukota 2x4 but was told
it won't work

Why won't it work? You will have to swap wiring harnesses, a few sensors, air box/air tube, ect. But it will fit no problem.

I was told some bolt holes are not on the block I figured it was probably they guy trying to get me at the junk yard

ive got a 01 dodge Dakota 4.7 eng its bad ive got a 03 Dakota with a good engine and all the wireing harness with it can it be switched
