how can i remove rust on rocker panels, under doors and at the cab corners?

To permanently remove rust, sand or grind it away. If there is metal left, prime and paint. If there are holes, weld the holes shut or weld in new metal. A light sanding, bondo and repaint will last a couple of years and the rust spots will return.

thanks tenspeed, gonna be buying a truck on my own for the first time and it may have a few rust spots i want taken care of, while were on it, how much would it be to paint the entire truck? if im gonna paint that spot id probably go with a new color. just a ballpark idea of cost
