Pontiac Montana SV6 Forum : “Remote start...”

Remote start...

My remote start will not work.

It's an aftermarket system I believe, but when you hit the start button, you can hear the starter on the 3.5L motor engage, and then on the driver's information screen it says "start disabled," but even at this time, if i just barely touch the key to the ignition, the motor starts. Sensor..? Wiring? I recently put a set of subwoofers in, could it be that the wires in the stereo are spliced? Even though everything still matches up perfectly?
