Moving Crossbars from an '04 Outback to a '17 Outback

Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to move the factory crossbars from my 2004
Outback to my 2017 Outback. I know I can take them off of the older model,
I'm just wondering if they'll fit the newer model. Thanks!

That is a stretch. I'm sure they don't. New crossbars for your 2017 are listed as fitting 2017 to 2019 Outback. Take them off your 2004 and sell them. With outdoor sports more popular with the pandemic, you can get a nice price for them.

Both the 2000-2004 and 2005-2009 crossbars have little residual value...generally less than the cost of shipping them, so say goodbye.
