If I was to pick one...I'd say the 66 fast back " Especially a G.T.350" would be the best one. 67s are nice too, but the movie "Gone in 60 seconds" made them too common of a choice for most. Real Shelbys don't look like that! Too much Hollywood.

I would have to go with the 1969 BOSS 302, 302W block with 351C machined heads, supposedly hp was rated @ 290, @5800 rpm's..lol..lol My brothers, that was off-white with flat black stripes, that he bought back in 1975 was all factory,no add on's what so ever,,and when we DYNO it was pushing 387hp @5600rpm's hope this helps

The question was "what was the best vintage year"? That would have to be a 64 survivor in great condition. Auction prices are into 6 figures

I had a Shelby 350 and a Boss 302 and loved them both and even today they will bring good money at auction but nothing like the original Stang.

This one is a true survivor, 64 1/2, 260 v8, C4, 57,000 miles,July 28,1964. Wimbeldon White....It,s a keeper...

I had a 68 fast back didnt have the original mortar in it, but came with a 351 cobra jet, 5 on the floor, double Carburetor. She was black & was the the best car I ever owned to this day. My dad made me sell it for $300 because my brother in Florida wouldn't let me keep it in his front yard (street) for a few months, until I was able to get her fixed and drove back to Arkansas. I say they owe me money. What you think guys?
