Buick Park Avenue Forum : “1984 Buick Park Ave rear-end question”

1984 Buick Park Ave rear-end question

Hi, I am going to change the rear-end gears on my '84 Park Ave.  It has a 10 bolt pattern, but I don't know what series it is or whether it is a 8.5 or 7.5 (and I don't know how to tell).  Would you know what the series and size are? (I have 3.08 in now and want to change to 3.42, and I would like to know which ones to buy).
