I own a 1986 Nissan 300zx, Non Turbo. The digital speedometer works Intermittently.

Asked by mljm1 Apr 04, 2013 at 08:14 PM about the Nissan 300ZX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can be going 60 mph then the speedometer will read 0. Likewise with starting off 0 then twenty mph or whatever. Any suggestions?

There's a sending unit on the transmission. That could be bad or losing power. There's the gauge in the dash that could be bad. If the gauge was losing power, I would expect all gauges to fail.
