I just purchased an 86 300zx, non turbo, non digital. When I first take off the speedometer will peg out and stay there.

Cruise control does not work. Have been to the dealer and found out there are two cables. Speedo cable and Cruise cable which goes to ungodly expensive (550.00) cruise module. Any suggestions on where to start troubleshooting?

I have a cruise control module, both the computer box under the kick panel and the actual cable set up from under the hood for sale. I'm not on this app. much so in the facebook search bar type in : Z31 Nissan 300ZX parts for sale <- message me there if you find something you need/want.
