DSG transmission in America?

When i last checked the dsg wasn`t available in America, the only options were the 6 speed manual and the single clutch 6 speed auto. Any change, why hasn´t VW released the DSG in the US? I heard something about it not confiding to some standard or other.

For 2010 VW is offering the DSG in America as an option.

IN 2010 THE DSG TRANSMISSION IS AVAILABLE IN EVERY PASSAT IN NORTH AMERICA
