74 datsun pu how do you determine the size of the center support bearing 16mm or 22mm

there are two sizes of center support bearings 16mm and 22mm how do you know what
size to get. where do get this dimension from

look up the proper measurements in a shop manual- then measure the engine block and crank before and after the installation- SOP

Thanks for your answer, but i should have been more specific it is the center support bearing on the propeller shaft / drive shaft.
