Car bogging when I press gas pedal

Asked by Julianmezagarcia Nov 25, 2016 at 09:21 PM about the 1979 Porsche 924

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a yellow 1979 I just bought, when I press
the gas it just Bogs and won't go over 15 mph or if I
put it in 2nd gear it doesn't get power. I want to
know if it's a fuel line issue or injectors. Because it
idles smooth. But when I press the gas it wants to
die. I replaced the fuel pump not long ago. Let me
know what is wrong.

Probably a sensor. Clean the mass airflow sensor first, using the spray cleaner made for that purpose only. Use nothing else! Then, if no luck, replace the throttle position sensor. Then, if no luck, replace the mass airflow sensor. Also make sure your fuel filter is fairly new, if not, replace it. Good luck
