89 vanagon 2.1L

I have an '86 Vanagon with the 2.1L . According to the repair manual the firing order is 1-4-3-2 with the # 1 clylinder on the right side to the back of the engine (this is looking at the engine from the rear to the front). Hope this is acccurate for your year and gives you the help you need.
