i would like to know the  calve lash clearance setting for a 1986 fuel injected water cooled vanagon please. craig

Check here: http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A1=ind0108d&L=vanagon&H=1#270 I believe valve lash "cold" for these is 0.005".
