Volvo 940 Forum : “Speakers i need new speakers, and suggestions?”

Probably shouldn't have the doors ripped off! Usually the speakers have a cover which you can peel off to reveal the speaker unit. There should be a few screws at the top of the unit that you can unscrew which will make the speaker pop out. After that unhook the wire and replace with a new speaker and do the steps in reverse. Of course there is always the possibility that your door panel will have to be removed in order to get to the speakers.
Best places to go would be Best Buy, Circuit City, or similar places. They will have speakers and that should be a cheap option. Good luck!
