i ran out of gas and now it will not start

I ran out of gas and the motor turned off and now it will not turn over. it is like the battery is dead.

Hi tonya1988, Sometimes when you run out of gas the dirt in your fuel tank gets clogged in the fuel pump or fuel filter. Have your "mechanic" check these items specifically. Also have him check the charge on the battery in case you left something turned on while the car was sitting. Good luck!
