Long story! Need help

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I have a 2004 Passat 5speed
turbo. About a month ago my EX
boyfriend put water in my gas tank
and in my oil. I drained my oil and
put new in and then he (tried to fix it)
by putting water remover in it. Then
turned it on (without me there
without my consent) obviously that
stuff is not made to take out a ton of
water. He said when he started it, it
ran for 5 minutes then turned off so
clearly the water went to my engine
or something. After that I sucked
gas/water out of tank then put new
gas in then I put my gas hose into a
bucket and cranked my car to let it
run out. I also just changed my fuel
pump... The car will start with starter
fluid but will stay on for maybe 10
seconds and sounds like a lawn
mower!!! Does anyone one have any
ideas what's wrong with my car or
what I can do to fix it other then
taking it to a shop?! I have no money
and now am a single mom... So
could really use some advice!!

The injectors are probably clogged and the fuel filter probably packed with sediment. When Rollo put the water remover in the gas he more than likely put so much in there that he dissolved 11 years of contamination into the fuel line. Make sure that you did not overfill the oil and get the best injector cleaner you can buy. I suspect there is still loads of water in the gas tank and unless you have a way of getting every bit of it out this will remain a problem for a while. I am very disturbed when a person does not prosecute the vandal. You "enable" someone when you allow that person to threaten you and your children's safety. What he did is a felony and He must take responsibility for his actions or you are saying "it's OK , I know you are sorry" If you do that you are putting your children less important then this dude is too you File a report and take him to small claims court ... if you don't ... expect more of the same. The results of your cars damage may be a complete engine replacement,

Lol he moved All the way across the country, also it's my child's father. So not pressing charges to bring him back
