97 Buick Skylark

Asked by Halle Jan 30, 2017 at 10:53 PM about the 1997 Buick Skylark

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So, I crashed my car, messed up the radiator and
the fan. I replaced the radiator and fan, but now
there's cold air coming out when heat is on and my
temperature gauge is going all the way up?

I would replace the thermostat and purge the air out of the system. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUpXgAJ1gjU

bleed that air out . with a cold engine, take the radiator cap off and run the engine. fill coolant with bleeder valve half open till coolant squirts out. then close. bleeder is a brass bolt on top of thermostat housing or a high point on the engine. good luck...
