2000 Buick century keeps cutting off.. error code (P0102)

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm having trouble with my 2000 Buick century
3.1L... about 2 weeks ago my car kept stalling on
me and once I decrease in speed the car would cut
off.. I was told by a mechanic (Craigslist) that I
may just need a tune up so he changed my spark
plugs and my car ran 2 days with no problem and
then out of nowhere when I go to turn the car over
and drive it cut off on me. I started it back up and it
ran for a sec and then it cut off on me again, so
now everytime I drive for like 10 seconds the car
will cut off and lose all power.. I went out and
bought a car diagnosis device and the only code
I'm getting is P0102 which is a bad MAF sensor,
will this error make my car keep cutting off or
could there be more problems before I go out and
buy a new one

Buick are natorius for Mass Airflow Sensor issues. I had to have mine changed 3 times before the problem quit. Just had to replace the MAP sensor and thus Idle controls position sensor also.
