Something is either blocking it or something has broken...... Does it move at all?

There are a couple possibilities. (1) most latches have two positions, open and closed. If somehow your latch got moved to the closed position, the two components that latch together cannot connect. If that is the case, pull the part that normally opens the glove box and with your other hand, move the latch. (2) The other possibility is something broke in the latch and that means the two parts do not hold the door shut. Take a picture of the latch and post it.
