Have you been playing with the wiring under the dash? Changing out a radio? Trying to find a hot lead to hook up some other accessory?
I do not have the diagram for the 2002 pickup, only the explorer. The courtesy lights (interior) operate on seperate fuses from the turn signals. Try this. With the key off, depress the harard switch. All exterior lights should blink? Do they? If not, open the door while the switch is dispressed. Do they begin to blink? Check with a meter at the flasher. One side should give power when the key is on/run and the other side should give power all the time.
Now remove the fuses that control the interior light. The lights should not come on. engage the turn signal and open the door. If the signal lights do not flash you have damaged wires on the positive side of a crossed circuit. If the turn signals work, there is a probably a problem somewhere on the ground side.
