not sure on the x5 but i had a 323i with 278,000 & it never skipped a beat purred like a kitten just keep on top of the servicing

I have an 05 4.4i done 194 000 ks runs like dream no trouble, uses about 1 litre oil between changes ,I change it more often than the lights on the service intervals say. Does 12.4 litres / 100k fuel cons. Best car Ive éver had been driving since 1960 so had a few!!
