Tail lights on 1958 thunderbird

My tail lights only come on when car is in reverse
brake light work fine havent got to turn signals yet
was doing it in sections I am restoring car and this
is the last bit to be done before first test drive

Check the wiring for shorts, broken wires or corroded connectors. Good luck with restoring your Squarebird!

if you have painted in the area where the lights attach you are probably not getting a good earth for all the lights

Thank you all but the first answer was right there is a short in the power wire between the back up lights and the tail lights I took the time to start rebuilding the harness got half done under the dash Im glad i dont have power windows lol
